RIGA, Dec 22 (LETA) - Vidzeme hospital on Tuesday was treating 37 Covd-19 patients, one of them in a severe condition, said the hospital's spokeswoman Benita Brila.

On Monday, the hospital admitted five Covid-19 patients and discharged four patients.

Brila said that two hospital employees tested positive for Covid-19, while two other employees have recovered and returned  to work.

As reported, 153 Covid-19 patients were hospitalized during the past 24 hours, which means that a total of 998 Covid-19 patients are currently being treated in hospitals, including 948 with symptoms of medium severity and 50 suffering severe symptoms.
