Daugavpils hospital to attract staff from municipal institutions, companies
RIGA, Nov 12 (LETA) - Daugavpils Regional Hospital will attract employees from municipal institutions and companies of Daugavpils and Augsdaugava municipality, the civil protection committee meeting decided on Friday.
The vaccination rate among hospital staff is low, and soon it will not be possible for unvaccinated employees to work in the hospital. At the same time, the hospital's head Grigorijs Semjonovs said that in the past days some of the employees still decided to get vaccinated. They have to start the vaccination process until Monday, November 15.
Thus, by Monday, there might be less than 100 employees who will not have started the vaccination process.
The hospital has managed to attract nurses from the polyclinic.
At the same time, the hospital will need staff who distributes food to patients, helps with other jobs. "There are problems with service personnel, especially in the kitchen," Semjonovs said.
It was reported earlier that about 300 employees of Daugavpils Regional Hospital have not launched vaccination against Covid-19. Most of them are technical employees, assistant nurses and nurses. Some of them are doctors.
The Health Ministry has addressed volunteers and an agreement has been reached with 54 medical students, assistant nurses and nurses who have agreed to help Daugapils Regional Hospital.
