Snow and ice on many roads this morning
Riga, Jan 1 (LETA) - Snow and ice in many parts of Latvia this morning make driving on the country's main and regional roads difficult, the state road manager Latvijas Valsts Celi told LETA.
The snow-covered road sections are being cleared and gritted with anti-skid materials. To improve driving conditions, 59 winter service units are involved in road maintenance work.
Regional roads are difficult throughout Latvia, except in the vicinity of Kuldiga, Smiltene and Daugavpils.
