Local governments receive loans for implementation of 16 projects
RIGA, Oct 26 (LETA) - The government today decided to allocate loans to 16 municipal investment projects assessed during the eighth phase of the project tender, LETA learned from the Environment Protection and Regional Development Ministry.
The total financing of 16 projects is worth EUR 5.7 million, while the sum of the loans is EUR 4.6 million. The projects will be implemented in Ventspils, Valka, Ogre, Balvi and Cesis municipalities, Riga, Jelgava and Rezekne cities.
In 2021, the government loans have been granted to 295 investment projects in order to deal with Covid-19 consequences, with a total financing of EUR 133.8 million, and loans worth EUR 111.8 million.
