RIGA, Jan 20 (LETA) - Riga will establish a new structural unit for integration of Rail Baltica in the city environment and stimulate economy, LETA learned from Riga vice mayor Vilnis Kirsis (New Unity).

Development of a new structure is necessary because of the city's challenges related with the impact on the economy created by the coronavirus pandemic, and necessity to promote economic recovery through the European Recovery and Resilience Facility and promote successful public infrastructure development projects.

A Public Infrastructure Development Administration will be established with a director and four project manager. The funding needed this year for development of the administration is EUR 229,008.
