For Latvia's Development wins elections in Marupe municipality
Riga, June 8 (LETA) - For Latvia's Development has won the local elections in Marupe municipality, according to data published by the Central Election Commission (CVK).
Counting the votes in all nine polling stations in Marupe municipality, For Latvia's Development received 29.42 percent of the votes, while the second place with 20.88 percent of the votes was taken by the Latvian Association of Regions, represented by the current mayor Andrejs Ence.
13.96 percent of residents voted for the Latvia's Green Party in Marupe municipality, while 11.49 percent voted for the National Alliance. Latvia First received 6.59 percent of the votes. The joint list of the political forces Sovereign Power and New Latvians received 5.64 percent of the votes, and the New Unity - 5.24 percent of the votes.
For Latvia's Development won six seats in Marupe municipality, the Latvian Association of Regions - five, Latvia's Green Party won three seats, while the National Alliance won two seats. The New Unity, Latvia First and the joint list of the political forces Sovereign Power and New Latvians won one seat each.
