Most of Latvia's new Covid-19 cases recorded in Riga, Daugavpils and Jelgava
RIGA, Mar 25 (LETA) - Of the 606 new Covid-19 cases confirmed in Latvia on Thursday, nearly 30 percent were recorded in Riga and a relatively high number of cases were recorded also in Daugavpils, Jelgava and the Ludza region, according to the data released by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC).
Riga reported 178 new Covid-19 cases, which brought the capital city's 14-day cumulative number of Covid-19 cases to 2,380.
Daugavpils reported 43 new cases, while the city's cumulative 14-day incidence slipped to 391. In Jelgava, the cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases reached 287, with 31 cases recorded in the past 24 hours.
In the Ludza region, the cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases rose to 140, with 29 new cases recorded in the past 24 hours.
Meanwhile, Liepaja recorded 23 new cases, the Tukums region 19, the Ogre region 18 and the Kuldiga region 16 new cases.
Latvia's cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population is 377.5, according to LETA's estimates.
