    Six people drown in past two days after falling through thin ice

    RIGA, Dec 11 (LETA) - Six persons have drown the past two days after falling through the ice, LETA was informed by State Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman Ilze Dame-Berzina.

    The incidents happened in Dagda, Jaunjelgava, Valka and Tervete regions, after persons recklessly decided to climb on the thin ice.

    The State Fire and Rescue Service reminds that the ice cover is very thin at the moment and it is extremely dangerous to be on the ice.
