Vaccination of medical personnel against Covid-19 to be provided in all hospitals from now on
RIGA, Jan 6 (LETA) - Vaccination of medical personnel against Covid-19 will be provided in all hospitals from now on, and vaccines will also be provided for immunization of employees at the State Blood Donor Center, according to amendments to Health Minister Ilze Vinkele's (For Development/For) decree on vaccination of healthcare worker against Covid-19.
The amendments state that full course of vaccination against Covid-19 (two doses) will also be provided to inpatient treatment facilities not previously listed in the decree.
The vaccines will also be provided to the State Blood Donor Center for the vaccination of medical personnel and assistants working there.
The amendments will enter into force on the day following the publication of the amended decree in the government gazette Latvijas Vestnesis or on January 7.
The decree originally stipulated that a total of ten hospitals and the Emergency Medical Service would each receive a certain number of vaccines.
