Heating to be switched on in coming days in Riga apartment buildings managed by Rigas Namu Parvaldnieks
RIGA, Sept 30 (LETA) - Starting tomorrow, October 1, Riga municipal housing management company Rigas Namu Parvaldnieks (RNP) will begin to gradually switch heating on in apartment buildings in Riga, the company's representative Inita Kabanova informed LETA.
Before the new heating season, heating technology has been upgraded in many apartment buildings in Riga, and the process is continuing this fall for easier monitoring and adjustment of the heating systems.
All apartment buildings managed by RNP will have heating switched on in three days.
For two weeks after this, heating system stabilization measures will be carried out to ensure that the heating system in every building is running well.
RNP starts switching on heating in apartment buildings when temperature does not exceed plus 14 degrees Celsius for at least three days in a row and drops to plus 8 degrees or less at some point.
Apartment buildings managed by RNP have automated heating systems: on warm fall days when the outdoor temperature rises over 12 degrees, heating shuts off automatically, thereby reducing heating bills for residents on day when district heating is not needed.
RNP posted EUR 80.57 million in turnover in 2024, which is 8.6 percent more than in 2023, while the company's profit amounted to EUR 9 million. The company manages about 3,500 buildings and employs around 2,000 people.
