Turnover of Rigas Centraltirgus market operator up 0.6% in 2021
RIGA, June 15 (LETA) - Rigas Centraltirgus municipal market operator last year generated EUR 6.412 million in turnover, up 0.6 percent from a year ago, while the company's profit was EUR 139,549 in contrast to losses a year ago, according to Firmas.lv.
The company's management said in its report that its last year's financial indicators were seriously affected by Covid-19 restrictions, as a result, demand for rental space, the number of visitors and tourists to the market declined.
In 2021, Rigas Centraltirgus had signed 2,161 rental agreements for a total sum of EYUR 4.64 million, which is by EUR 42,995 less than in 2020.
In 2020, Rigas Centraltirgus generated EUR 6.375 million in turnover, down 12.5 percent from a year ago, while the company's loss increased 17.8 percent to EUR 254,339.
Rigas Centraltirgus was registered in 1995 and has a share capital of EUR 15.173 million. Rigas Centraltirgus operates the Riga Central Market, Vidzeme Market and market Latgale.
