Next year's Big Cleanup slated for April 24
RIGA, Dec 4 (LETA) - Next year’s Big Cleanup campaign in Latvia will take place on April 24, the event's spokeswoman Jana Krallisa informed LETA.
The moto of the 2021 cleanup campaign is "Clean Latvia for Next Generations".
Since the launch of the initiative more than a decades ago, in 2008, the aim of the annual Big Cleanups has been to raise public awareness and involve people in cleaning up and rehabilitation of the environment.
Organizers of the Big Cleanup are calling on people not only to fight the consequences but also the causes of environmental pollution, to think broader and take timely action so that not only we but also the generations to come could enjoy a clean Latvia and its beautiful nature.
