RIGA, March 26 (LETA) - South Africa Covid-19 cases have been discovered not only in Riga, but also in Rezekne, according to epidemiologist of the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC) Jurijs Perevoscikovs.
The expert underscored that both cases are not related.
The first South Africa Covid-19 case in Latvia was analyzed carefully, investigating contacts and conducting broad testing among colleagues and contact persons to prevent further spread of the virus. The initial results of the epidemiological investigation suggest that the person had not traveled.
