During first crowd testing in Gulbene county, 2.8% Covid-19 tests were positive
RIGA, March 11 (LETA) - During the first crowd testing in Gulbene county on March 9, 321 saliva tests were submitted of which nine Covid-19 tests or 2.8 percent came back positive, said Gulbene county spokeswoman Gunta Kalmane.
On March 10, 979 Covid-19 test samples were distributed to residents. Covid-19 test samples will also be distributed today and tomorrow.
There are 17 points in Gulbene county where residents may receive and submit Covid-19 test samples. During the first day, residents took 1,430 test samples.
As reported, due to a rise in Covid-19 incidence, crowd testing has been started in Gulbene, Balvi, Baltinava, Vilaka and Rugaji counties.
People may receive and submit test samples free of charge.
