CFCA has sent out letters to the municipal transport companies of Riga, Liepaja and Daugavpils calling on them to draw up project applications so they can receive the EU funding. The total EU co-funding earmarked for the development of tramline infrastructure is EUR 74.8 million.

According to the terms of the EU funding program, the allocations can be used to develop tramline networks, including extension or reconstruction of the existing lines, construction of new lines and purchases of rolling stock.
