Riga, March 6 (LETA) - Riga has granted financial support to 28 neighborhood development organizations, the Riga City Council communications department informed LETA.

Of these, seven applications were for EUR 1,000 support and 21 for EUR 3,000 support.

The purpose of the funding is to support the activities of the organizations, strengthen their capacity and promote cooperation with the municipality on issues of public participation and neighborhood development, including the improvement of the municipality's public infrastructure and the improvement of public areas.

This year, all 28 organizations who applied received a decision on the granting of financial support from the Riga City Council.
