Hospitals in Ventspils and Talsi restrict visits to patients amid rise in Covid-19 cases
RIGA, Oct 7 (LETA) - In a bid to prevent the spread of Covid-19, visits to patients at Zemelkurzeme Regional Hospital in Ventspils and its affiliate in Talsi are prohibited starting next week, LETA was told at the hospital.
As of Monday, October 10, visits to patients at the hospitals in Ventspils and Talsi are only allowed in critical situation and with permission from the department's chief doctor. Such permission can be given to only one relative for a ten-minute visit.
Facemasks are also compulsory in the hospital's premises, the hospital's representatives said.
