Riga to participate in Day of Solidarity with Belarus
RIGA, Feb 6 (LETA) - Belarus opposition leader Svyatlana Tsikhanouskaya has called on all non-indifferent people to support Belarusian protesters by joining the Day of Solidarity with Belarus February 7, and Latvia has responded to this call, the Riga City Council informed.
On Sunday, several sites in Riga will be lit in the colors of the Belarus flag, including the Riga City Council building and VEF Culture Palance.
Also, the Riga City Council in cooperation with LMT will perform a video greeting on the river Daugava - a river that connects Latvia and Belarus.
The Foreign Ministry, the Latvian National Library and the Latvian television will also join the campaign.
