279 persons vaccinated in Riga social care homes
RIGA, Feb 18 (LETA) - As many as 279 persons have been vaccinated at Riga municipal social care homes, LETA learned from the Riga City Council.
Riga City Council Welfare Department reported that during the first week of vaccination, 65 percent of clients and employees who had recently voiced a wish to receive vaccines, were vaccinated.
Social care center Gailezers has vaccinated 99 persons, and about 60 people will receive their jabs tomorrow.
Social care center Stella Maris has vaccinated 88 people, while Riga municipal Children and Youth Center has vaccinated 92 employees.
Social care center Mezciems will receive vaccines in the nearest time, 133 people have voiced their interest in vaccines.
Thus, clients and employees of all three municipal social care centers and the Children and Youth Center will be vaccinated soon. Some of the clients through may not receive vaccines as yet as they have had Covid-19.
