RIGA, Mar 1 (LETA) - Alvis Zirins (Harmony) has resigned as mayor of the Garkalne region.
At an extraordinary meeting of the regional council on Monday, Zirins was elected second vice-mayor of the Garkalne council.
The Garkalne regional council has been left without a chairman who might be elected at the council's next meeting. The date and agenda of the council's next meeting has not been announced yet.
