Most of Latvia's new Covid-19 cases recorded in Riga and Daugavpils
RIGA, Feb 23 (LETA) - Out of the 669 new Covid-19 cases confirmed in Latvia over the past 24 hours, 38 percent were recorded in Riga, but many cases were reported also in Daugavpils, according to the data released by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC).
The 256 new cases discovered in Riga brought the cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases in the Latvian capital to 3,141.
In Daugavpils, the cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases reached 483, with 31 cases discovered in the past 24 hours.
With 22 new cases confirmed in the past day, the two-week Covid-19 incidence in Jelgava reached 284.
Liepaja and Olaine region each recorded 18 new Covid-19 cases, Rezekne recorded 17, Ventspils 16, Gulbene region 15 and Jurmala, Balvi and Jelgava regions 12 new cases each.
Latvia's cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population is now 502.8.
