Most densely populated places in Latvia are Riga, Ogre and Rezekne
RIGA, March 7 (LETA) - Riga, Ogre and Rezekne were the most densely populated places in Latvia at the beginning of 2025, according to information compiled by the Central Statistical Office.
At the beginning of last year, Riga had 2,354 inhabitants per square kilometer, Ogre - 1,586, and Rezekne - 1,546.
At the same time, the least populated places in Latvia at the beginning of 2025 were the counties of Saka, Lidumnieki, Zvarde and Ance. They had a population density of one person per square kilometer.
In Latvia as a whole, at the beginning of 2025, there were 30 people per square kilometer.
