RIGA, July 21 (LETA) - Vents Armands Krauklis (Vidzeme Party), the mayor of Valka Region, was on Wednesday elected board chairman of the Association of Regional Development Centers (RACA).

Inga Berzina (For Kuldiga Region), the mayor of Kuldiga Region, and Andris Vaivods (For Development of Latvia), the mayor Livani Region, were elected as RACA vice-board chairpersons at the association's general meeting. 

The general meeting of RACA members was their first meeting after the June 5 local elections as a result of which mayors changed in eight RACA municipalities. 

All RACA officials, which were elected unanimously at the association's meeting, will be working in their positions for the next four years until the term of the current regional councils expires.
