Anspaks elected chairman of Salaspils municipal council
RIGA, Nov 3 (LETA) - Salaspils municipal council in an extraordinary meeting today elected New Unity's representative Raivis Anspaks the council chairman.
The decision was made unanimously.
The Salaspils municipal council had to elected a new council chairman because previous chairman Raimonds Cudars (New Unity) has been elected to the parliament.
During the previous municipal elections, New Unity won 15 lawmaker mandates, the National Alliance ran together with the Latvian Association of Regions and Latvia's Farmers Union and won three mandates, Latvia's Green Party also won three mandates, and one lawmaker has been elected from Harmony party.
