Highest number of new Covid-19 cases registered in Riga, Daugavpils, Jelgava, Jurmala
RIGA, Jan 29 (LETA) - Out of the 931 new Covid-19 cases confirmed in Latvia over the past 24 hours, nearly 33 percent have been recorded in Riga, while there were many new cases also in Daugavpils, Jelgava and Jurmala, according to the data released by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC).
The 304 new cases discovered in Riga brought the cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases in the Latvian capital to 3,452. In Daugavpils, 42 new cases brought the 14-day number of Covid-19 cases to 834. In Jelgava, the cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases reached 416, with 42 cases discovered in the past 24 hours.
The Jurmala registered 34 new Covid-19 cases, as its 14-day incidence rose to 198 cases.
Latvia's cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population is now 569.
