RIGA, May 25 (LETA) - Until May 24, in total of 15,034 Ukrainian refugees have been registered in the Riga support center, the Riga City Council said in a press conference today.

Refugees from Ukraine have been issued 10,771 SIM cards for mobile phones and 11,873 e-tickets for public transport.

In total, 2,514 applications for education services have been received. Also 5,082 applications for the guaranteed minimum income, 5,008 application for one-time crisis benefit, and about 1,000 applications for housing benefits have been received.

Riga has paid EUR 4,762,257 to Ukrainian residents in different benefits during the three months of the war.

Riga vice mayor Linda Ozola (Conservatives) informed that every day about 200 new Ukrainian residents are registered at the Riga support center daily, but about 700 refugees are provided with different services and assistance.

The Riga City Council in a press conference today informs on changes in support to Ukrainian civilians in the city. The changes are related with the legislative amendments adopted by the government and Saeima in the past week.
