EUR 574,001 allocated for improving work of regional hospitals
RIGA, June 21 (LETA) - The government on Tuesday decided to allocate EUR 574,001 to regional hospitals in order to ensure readiness of the health care sector and hospitals to provide uninterrupted services.
Financing is necessary to ensure that, in line with development of the epidemiological situation, hospitals can provide health care of hospitalized Covid-19 patients.
EUR 249,865 have been allocated to Jelgava City Hospital, EUR 104,544 to Vidzeme Hospital, EUR 70,646 to Riga Hospital No. 2, and EUR 67,518 to Tukums Hospital.
Also, Limbazi Hospital will receive EUR 32,828, Jekabpils Regional Hospital - EUR 27,104, and Aizkraukle Hospital - EUR 21,496.
The financing has been allocated from the contingency funds.
