President to visit Latvia's eastern border next week
RIGA, Feb 26 (LETA) - President Edgars Rinkevics will pay a working visit to the eastern border of Latvia on Monday, March 2, LETA was informed by Rinkevics' communication adviser Martins Dregeris.
The President will be accompanied by the Chief of the State Border Guard, General Guntis Pujats, and the Commander of the National Armed Forces, Major General Kaspars Pudans.
The officials will visit the Latvian-Russian border section within the territory of the State Border Guard Vilaka Administration, including the Pededze Border Guard Unit, the closed Pededze border checkpoint and the border protection infrastructure built around Liepna.
