    Greatest voter turnout in Adazi Region, lowest - in Augsdaugava Region

    RIGA, June 7 (LETA) - Among the Latvian municipalities, the highest turnout in these municipal elections was in Adazi Region, where 53.72 percent of the eligible population voted, but the lowest turnout was in Augsdaugava Region, where 32.88 percent of the eligible population voted, according to data collected by the Central Election Commission (CVK).

    At the same time, 52.95 percent of the eligible population voted in Sigulda Region, 52.54 percent in Kekava Region, 51.77 percent in Riga, 50.81 percent in Ogre, 49.99 percent in Marupe Region, 49.14 percent in Preili Region, 48.65 percent in Valka Region, 48.36 percent in Aluksne Region, and 47.28 percent in Rezekne.

    However, among the municipalities with the lowest turnout so far is Rezekne Region, where 36.05 percent of the eligible population voted, Kraslava Region - 37.07 percent, Aizkraukle Region - 37.69 percent, Kuldiga Region - 39.16 percent, Gulbene Region - 39.58 percent, Ludza Region - 39.69 percent, and Ventspils - 39.77 percent.
