Merger of Ilukste county with Augsdaugava county, merger of Ozolnieki county with Jelgava county found unconstitutional
RIGA, June 21 (LETA) - The Constitutional Court in one of the cases on the Law on Administrative Territories and Populated Areas ruked that the merger of Ilukste county wih Augsdaugava county, as well as Ozolnieki county with Jelgava county are unconstitutional, LETA learned from the court.
In another case on March 12, the court ruled that the merger of Skulte county with Saulkrasti county is unconstitutional, and on May 28 the court ruled that the merger of Varaklani county with Rezekne county is unconstitutional.
