Aseradens to pay regional visit to Smiltene on Thursday
Riga, March 25 (LETA) - On Thursday, March 26, Finance Minister Arvils Aseradens (New Unity) will pay a regional visit to Smiltene district to get acquainted with the municipality's development issues and investment projects, business environment and current financial challenges, the Finance Ministry informed LETA.
During the visit, the minister will meet with the administration of Smiltene municipality, lawmakers, and entrepreneurs. During the talks, special attention will be paid to the municipality's priority investment projects and their progress, as well as financial issues.
The new model of financial equalization of municipalities, the development of the business environment, as well as border and national security aspects will also be discussed.
During the visit, the Minister will visit Pavasars Windows Factory in Rauna municipality, a long-established export-oriented manufacturer of wooden windows and doors with a strong track record of innovation and sustainable business development.
In Ape, the minister will get acquainted with the activities of the metalworking company TTR Company, which demonstrates the development of high value-added production in the region.
The visit will conclude with a joint meeting with the business community of Smiltene to discuss the current needs of the sector and opportunities for future cooperation.
The aim of the regional visit is to strengthen the dialogue between the state administration, local governments and business, promoting balanced regional development throughout Latvia.
