More than third of new Covid-19 cases registered in Riga
RIGA, Jan 5 (LETA) - Of the 824 new Covid-19 cases discovered on Monday, 35 percent were registered in Riga, while there is a rising incidence in Madona county, according to the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC).
Riga on Monday registered 286 new Covid-19 cases, and the total number of 14-day cumulative Covid-19 cases has reached 3,613.
Also, 46 new infections were recorded in Madona county with the total number of 14-day cumulative incidence has reached 161 people.
Daugavpils on Monday registered 60 new cases, and the 14-day cumulative incidence has reached 958 people.
With 3,613 Covid-19 cases recorded in the past two weeks, Riga remains the municipality with the highest cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases, followed by Daugavpils with 958, Rezekne with 433.
Latvia's cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population is now 608.2.
