Candidate nominated by For Latvia and Ventspils party elected Ventspils vice mayor
RIGA, July 27 (LETA) - Aigo Gutmanis, a candidate nominated by the ruling For Latvia and Ventspils party, was on Tuesday elected Ventpils vice mayor, LETA was told at the town hall.
The seven members of Ventspils City Council who participated in the extraordinary meeting of the city council on Tuesday, including a member of the New Conservative Party and a member of the National Alliance, supported Gutmanis in the vote.
Gutmanis received a councilor's mandate in Ventspils after councilors Igeta Gredzena (For Latvia and Ventspils) and Ilze Bunke (For Latvia and Ventspils) renounced their mandates.
