20 drunk drivers caught in Latvia on Sunday
Riga, April 6 (LETA) - As many as 20 drunk drivers were caught in Latvia on Sunday, the State Police informed LETA.
In total, 20 drivers were caught behind the wheel under the influence of alcohol, and one - under the influence of narcotic drugs.
Six drivers were under the influence of alcohol in the Riga region, five in Zemgale, four in Latgale, while in Vidzeme five drivers were under the influence of alcohol and one driver was under the influence of drugs.
13 criminal proceedings were opened against drunk-drivers and five cars were impounded.
Over the past day, the State Police adopted 725 administrative offence decisions in the field of road traffic, including 349 for speeding.
