Apart from Riga and Daugavpils, high number of new Covid-19 cases recorded also in Ogre
RIGA, Dec 29 (LETA) - Of the 838 new Covid-19 cases confirmed in Latvia on Monday, 40 percent have been reported in Riga, but Daugavpils and the Ogre region reported a high number of cases as well, according to the data released by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC).
Riga reported 343 new Covid-19 cases, as the capital city's cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases reached 4,103.
Daugavpils recorded 46 new Covid-19 cases, which brought the cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases in Daugavpils to 1,169. The Ogre region recorded 42 new Covid-19 cases as the region's cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases reached 216.
Another 28 Covid-19 cases registered on Monday brought the cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases in Rezekne to 358. Also, 27 new cases were recorded in Jurmala where the cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases has reached 219 and 26 cases have been found in Jelgava where the cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases is now 388.
Latvia's cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population has now reached 583.6.
