Most of Latvia's new Covid-19 cases recorded in Riga and Marupe region
RIGA, Aug 16 (LETA) - Of the 49 new Covid-19 cases confirmed in Latvia in the past 24 hours, more than half have been recorded in Riga, and a larger number in Marupe region, according to the data of the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC).
The 27 new Covid-19 cases recorded in Riga on Sunday brought the city's cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases to 534.
Meanwhile, four new Covid-19 cases were reported in Marupe region, three in Aizkraukle region. Several other municipalities registered fewer cases, the CDC said.
Latvia's cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population rose to 65.8, according to CDC data.
