Yukon Advanced Optics Worldwide plans to open plant in Daugavpils
RIGA, Feb 22 (LETA) - Yukon Advanced Optics Worldwide with headquarters in Lithuania, plans to open a plant in Daugavpils, investing EUR 5 million in it, LETA learned from the Latvian Investments and Development Agency (LIAA).
LIAA said that Yukon Advanced Optics Worldwide has expanded it operations, by establishing company Pulsar Optics in Latvia that will make Pulsar thermal cameras. The new plant will produce 40,000 items a year, employing 150 people.
LIAA representatives also said that Yukon Advanced Optics Worldwide is one of the companies addressed with the help of the Foreign Ministry in the fall of 2020.
Yukon Advanced Optics Worldwide reported that establishment of a subsidiary in Latvia is the next stage in implementation of the company's long-term strategy. The market of thermal visual equipment in the world keeps growing, therefore the company made the decision on expanding production. Latvia has been selected because of the availability of specialists, favorable investment climate with good business potential.
According to Firmas.lv, Pulsar Optics was registered in December 2020, and has a share capital of EUR 100,000. The company's sole owner is Yukon Advanced Optics Worldwide.
