Election results approved in all municipalities except Jelgava and Sigulda where votes will have to be recounted
RIGA, June 10 (LETA) - Local election commissions in all 40 municipalities where local elections took place last Saturday have approved the election results, as the Central Election Commission's representative Laura Zaharova told LETA.
In the meantime, ballots will have to be recounted in Jelgava and Sigulda regions by adding a total of 21 unsealed ballots.
Vote recount in both Jelgava and Sigulda will take place on June 11.
Heads of the local election commissions in Jelgava and Sigulda told the Central Election Commission today that the unsealed ballots were due to human error.
