Actual unemployment rate in Latvia at 6.8% in June
RIGA, July 17 (LETA) - Latvia recorded a 6.8 percent actual unemployment rate for June 2025, the same as in the previous month, according to the data released by the Central Statistical Bureau (CSB).
The unemployment rate for women rose by 0.1 percentage points to 6.3 percent, and unemployment for men decreased by 0.1 percentage points to 7.4 percent.
In June 2025, there were 64,600 officially jobless people in Latvia, which is 100 people fewer than in May 2025 and 200 more than in June 2024. Over the month, the number of unemployed men dropped by 500 to 35,000, and the number of jobless women rose by 400 to 29,500.
The jobless rate registered with the State Employment Agency was 5 percent at the end of June, up 0.1 percentage points from the end of May. Compared to June 2024, registered unemployment declined by 0.1 percentage points.
