Most of Latvia's new Covid-19 cases recorded in Riga, Jelgava, Jurmala
RIGA, March 23 (LETA) - Of the 508 new Covid-19 cases confirmed in Latvia on Monday, 36 percent were recorded in Riga, while other municipalities reported a comparatively small number of cases, according to the data released by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC).
Riga reported 182 new Covid-19 cases, which brought the capital city's 14-day cumulative number of Covid-19 cases to 2,359.
Meanwhile, Jelgava recorded 24 new Covid-19 cases, Jurmala recorded 21 new cases, and Daugavpils recorded 20 cases. 16 new Covid-19 cases were detected in the Gulbene region.
The highest two-week incidence has been registered in Riga (2,359), followed by Daugavpils (410), Jelgava (272), Liepaja (217) and Balvi county (202).
Latvia's cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population is currently 372, according to LETA's estimates.
