New Unity gets highest number of votes in Jelgava
RIGA, Oct 2 (LETA) - New Unity received the highest number of votes in the central Latvian city of Jelgava in the 14th Saeima elections on Saturday, the Central Election Commission's data shows,
The Union of Greens and Farmers came second in Jelgava with 17.14 percent of the vote and the United List was third with 9.65 percent.
The National Alliance closely trailed the United List with 9.6 percent, while 9.24 percent of votes were cast for Latvia's Russian Union and 5.07 percent for the Progressives.
Latvia First narrowly missed the 5 percent vote threshold and received 4.9 percent, For Stability got 4.8 percent and Development/For 4.4 percent of the vote in Jelgava.
