School holidays for pupils of grades 1-6 to be extended until January 8
RIGA, Dec 17 (LETA) - School holidays in Latvian education institutions for pupils of grades 1-6 will be extended by one week, until January 8, the government decided on Thursday.
Only remote classes can be held in professional and higher education, different courses, with the exception of clinical residency.
Extra-curricular education classes and trainings can be held only remotely.
As reported, the new restrictions will come into force as of December 21 for a time period of three weeks. The harsher restrictions aim at reducing human contacts outside households.
