Highest number of Latvia's new Covid-19 cases recorded in Riga, Daugavpils
RIGA, Sept 7 (LETA) - Out of the 311 new Covid-19 cases confirmed in Latvia over the past 24 hours, 31.5 percent were recorded in Riga, according to the data released by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC).
The 98 new cases discovered in Riga brought the cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases in the Latvian capital to 1,046.
Daugavpils reported 19 new Covid-19 cases, Ropazi and Valmiera municipalities reported 15 cases each, Rezekne municipality - 14 cases, Bauska and Jekabpils municipalities - 13 each and a number of other municipalities reported fewer cases.
Latvia's cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population rose to 193.1.
