Relatively high number of new Covid-19 cases recorded not only in Riga but also in Daugavpils and Jelgava
RIGA, June 8 (LETA) - Out of the 256 new Covid-19 cases confirmed in Latvia in the past 24 hours, 36 percent have been recorded in Riga, and relatively many cases have been reported also in Daugavpils and Jelgava, according to the data released by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC).
Riga confirmed 93 new cases and the capital city's cumulative 14-day Covid-19 incidence dropped to 1,232 cases.
Daugavpils registered 16 new cases and Jelgava 15 cases. Jurmala and Tervete Region each recorded eight new Covid-19 cases.
Latvia's cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population dropped to 181.7, according to CDC data.
