Virsi-A invests EUR 2.8 million in a new filling station in Bergi
RIGA, Oct 11 (LETA) - Energy commodities trader and convenience store network Virsi-A (Virsi) has invested EUR 2.8 million in a new filling station in Bergi that opened today at 481 Brivibas Gatve, as Virsi-A informed LETA.
Virsi Bergi is a full service location with a store area of almost 200 square meters, a comfortable recreational area for visitors, as well as ample parking that can accommodate 18 cars and 20 trucks.
The facility has one 160 kW CCS plug and 40 kW CCS or CHAdeMO plug, providing the possibility to charge two electric cars at the same time.
The new facility is the 80th filling station in the Virsi network. It will be open around the clock.
At the beginning of next year, Virsi will celebrate its 30th anniversary, says Virsi-A CEO Janis Viba. In anticipation of this notable milestone, the company is making significant investments this year in expanding its sales network.
The Bergi filling station is the eighth new point of sale opened this year, adds Viba. The company is currently working on the construction of two more new locations in Riga and Pieriga, which we are to open in November.
As reported, the audited turnover of the Virsi-A group in 2023 was EUR 343.732 million, 8.4 percent less than in the previous year, while the group's profit decreased more than twice to EUR 5.099 million.
The Virsi-A group consists of the parent company and Virsi Logistika and Virsi Renergy, Virsi Lietuva and CRYO Baltic.
Virsi-A is owned by natural persons in Latvia, and it's listed on the Nasdaq Riga First North Alternative Market.
