Most widespread power outages on Sunday morning in Ogre, Sigulda and Ropazi
RIGA, Dec 28 (LETA) - The overnight storm has caused the most widespread power supply disruptions in Ogre, Sigulda and Ropazi districts on Sunday morning, power transmission company Sadales Tikls told LETA.
This morning at around 7.30 a.m. the power supply was disrupted for about 7,000 customers - mainly in the coastal and central districts. By Sunday morning, 85 faults had been repaired, but the strong winds are causing more.
Sadales Tikls teams are working to restore power to customers, but in more complex and widespread damage situations, it may take longer to restore power supply, the company notes. Where possible, power is immediately restored to customers through the associated power lines before the damage is repaired in the field.
