Government supports EUR 26 million worth of loans for 27 municipal projects
RIGA, Oct 5 (LETA) - The government today supported issuing EUR 25.9 million in loans for implementation of 27 municipal projects in Riga and the regions, the Environmental Protection and Regional Development Ministry told LETA.
The government supported a total of 27 investment projects in 11 municipalities: Tukums, Cesis, Rezekne, Ropazi, Balvi, Jekabpils, Adazi, Ventspils and Kraslava regions, as well as in Riga and Jelgava.
EUR 1.4 million will be issued in loans for 12 projects in Riga for enforcing hygiene requirements at preschools.
The government also supported EUR 16.2 million for construction of a bridge over the River Platone in Jelgava and reconstruction of Brasa Bridge in Riga.
The government also approved a total of EUR 3.9 million in loans for 11 municipal transport infrastructure development projects.
