Balvi hospital's Covid-19 bed saturation remains at 100%
RIGA, April 8 (LETA) - All beds at the hospital in the eastern Latvian town of Balvi that have been designated for Covid-19 patients are still occupied, according to the Emergency Medical Service's data.
The average saturation of Covid-19 beds at the 18 hospitals treating coronavirus patients is currently 57 percent, up from 55 percent a week ago.
The saturation of Covid-19 beds is also high at the Ludza medical center (97 percent), as well as the Dobele hospital and Riga Eastern Clinical University Hospital (75 percent).
Lower bed saturation has been reported at the Limbazi hospital (15 percent) and Riga Hospital No.1 (14 percent).
At the beginning of this week, there were 1,202 hospital beds designated for Latvia's Covid-19 patients, including 173 ICU beds, or one more than a week ago.
