35% of Latvia's new Covid-19 cases recorded in Riga
RIGA, April 8 (LETA) - Out of the 740 new Covid-19 cases confirmed in Latvia in the past 24 hours, 35 percent were recorded in Riga, while a relatively many cases were discovered also in Ogre, Jegava, Gulbene and Rujiena, according to the data released by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC).
The 256 new Covid-19 cases confirmed in Riga brought the cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases in the capital city to 2,319.
In Ogre county, the cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases rose to 164, with 36 cases confirmed in the past 24 hours.
Jelgava reported 32 new Covid-19 cases, bringing the cumulative 14-day Covid-19 incidence there to 278.
Gulbene county recorded 30 new Covid-19 cases, and the total number of two-week cases increased to 175, while Rujiena county registered 29 cases and the two-week cumulative number rose to 107.
Latvia's cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population is currently 337.6, according to LETA's estimates.
