Riga, Dec 3 (LETA) - A total of 9,681 new companies were registered in Latvia in the first 11 months of this year, which is 11.4 percent or 994 companies more than in the corresponding period of 2024, according to data compiled by Lursoft.

In November 2025, 820 new companies were registered, which is the second lowest number this year. Only in June fewer companies were registered - 737.

The total share capital of new companies registered in November amounted to EUR 12.18 million.

Lursoft also informed that the absolute majority or 90 percent of all new companies registered in November are limited liability companies, while another 9.5 percent are sole traders. Last month also saw the registration of six new farms in Latvia, and two branches of foreign companies.

The Top 10 largest new companies registered in November by share capital were Ropazu Energija with EUR 1.69 million, JZ3 with EUR 1.45 million, More Entertainment with EUR 1.4 million, Vide Latgale with EUR 1.272 million, YIT Marpagalmi 3 with EUR 800,000, Norden Finance with EUR 583,820, Tron with EUR 400,000, LBC Kuldiga with EUR 250,000, HX Storage with EUR 200,000 and Skanstehof with EUR 110,000.

The municipalities with the highest number of new companies registered in November are Riga with 378 companies, Ogre municipality with 31 companies, Marupe municipality with 31 companies, Jurmala with 28 companies, Jelgava with 23 companies, Daugavpils with 22 companies, Liepaja with 20 companies, Valmiera municipality with 18 companies, Tukums municipality with 16 companies and Cesis municipality with 16 companies.
